Key Responsibilities

  • •Work under task-oriented supervision to inspect and maintain cathodic protection systems and equipment.
  • •Conduct scheduled cathodic protection surveys of pipelines, breakout tanks, and facilities in compliance with DOT.
  • •Read and record cathodic protection components (rectifiers, anodes, foreign bonds, and casing test points) on annual and quarterly schedules.
  • •Install and maintain rectifiers, bonds, test points, and galvanic anode systems; perform interface tests measuring cathodic protection and electrical effects.
  • •Computerize data, maintain protection/rectifier records and logbooks, follow safe work practices, and assist with other pipeline/terminal duties as assigned.
Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalent.
  • •Working toward AMPP CP Tester #1 Certification and obtain within 2 years.
  • •General knowledge or related training/experience in pipeline system operations.
  • •Ability to read and interpret pipeline maps, technical drawings, and technical schematics.
  • •Familiarity with PHMSA and OSHA regulations, strong computer skills (Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel), and ability to work safely in physically demanding outdoor conditions.
