Key Responsibilities

  • •Own tooling and ground support equipment design, development, fabrication, qualification, implementation, and decommissioning support for microreactors.
  • •Partner with manufacturing, test, reactor hardware, operations, quality, and deployment teams to translate tooling needs into practical engineering solutions.
  • •Develop tooling concepts balancing safety, usability, manufacturability, schedule, cost, reliability, and constraints of factory and field environments.
  • •Create detailed 3D CAD models, assemblies, and engineering drawings for fixtures, lifting/handling devices, assembly tooling, test support equipment, and transportation/installation equipment.
  • •Support hands-on fabrication, assembly, troubleshooting, commissioning, and initial operations on the factory floor and deployment sites; incorporate feedback into rapid design improvements.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 112,000 - 185,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • •3+ years designing mechanical hardware or tooling/fixtures/ground support equipment for manufacturing, assembly, testing, installation, maintenance, or field operations.
  • •Strong 3D CAD skills and experience producing production-quality engineering drawings; Siemens NX preferred.
  • •Ability to take mechanical designs from initial concept through detailed design, fabrication, assembly, and implementation.
  • •Strong understanding of mechanical design fundamentals including tolerance stack-ups, structural loading, material selection, and design for manufacturing/assembly.
