Job Summary

Planning Engineer responsible for implementing and monitoring engineering design stage plans, coordinating between design and construction, monitoring procurement and material delivery, and aligning consultant plans with project schedules. Leads planning activities, analyzes requirements, and prepares resource and cost-loaded schedules, ensuring timely delivery and regulatory compliance across design, tender, procurement, construction and completion phases.

Job Function: QA, Test & Release Engineering

Key Responsibilities

•Provide project planning/scheduling support and manage a small team of planners.
•Manage project schedules according to the project work breakdown structure and ensure schedules are developed.
•Ensure plans are regularly updated for effective monitoring, forecasting and control.
•Produce pre-design, design, tender and award, procurement, construction and completion scheduling to depict project requirements.
•Analyze project requirements and prepare resource and cost-loaded planning schedules; produce histograms for manpower, materials and submittals.

Key Requirements

•Minimum 8 years of working experience with 5 years relevant experience; GCC experience a plus
•Knowledge of planning principles and practices; familiarity with Primavera P6 and ERP systems (preferably SAP)
•Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field; strong fundamentals in engineering
•Experience in producing pre-design to completion scheduling and resource/cost loading
•Ability to coordinate with project managers, subcontractors and authorities; effective in progress monitoring and reporting
