Key Responsibilities

•Policy, Framework Drafting & Regulatory Research: Draft and update group-wide Financial Crime policies, standards, and frameworks; cover AML/CTF, on-chain monitoring, KYW due diligence; conduct UK/EU regulatory benchmarking.
•Business Partnership & Control Reviews: Map existing financial crime controls across units; advise on escalations and complex onboardings; maintain enhancement log and support process redesign with Operations, Product, and Technology.
•Tooling, Automation & AI Support: Configure crypto compliance tools (transaction monitoring, screening, Travel Rule); identify automation/AI use cases; support rollout of AI-enabled tooling; maintain AI governance documentation.
•Investigations, Risk Assessment & Executive Reporting: Support on-chain investigations; assist BWRA; collate MLRO inputs; prepare executive packs and horizon scanning briefing notes.
•Management Information & Training: Produce MI on Financial Crime health; develop dashboards; analyze trends; contribute to crypto compliance training modules and content delivery.

Key Requirements

•3+ years of experience in AML/CTF Compliance, Financial Crime, or Regulatory Risk within financial services — ideally payments, FX, banking, FinTech or Crypto.
•Strong Crypto Knowledge: stablecoins, on-chain analytics, wallet infrastructures and crypto compliance toolset (on-chain monitoring, screening, Travel Rule); hands-on with crypto compliance vendors (e.g., Chainalysis, TRM Labs, Elliptic, Notabene, Sumsub).
•Proven drafting skills: ability to draft clear, technically accurate compliance documentation (policies, procedures, risk assessments, committee papers, briefing notes).
•Working knowledge of UK and/or EU financial crime regulation, including crypto regulation (MiCA, Travel Rule, FATF guidance).
•Analytical & Data Skills: comfortable working with data; Excel to a high standard; experience with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker) and/or SQL encouraged; strong communication.
