Key Responsibilities

  • •Drive product design and detailing, including prototyping and testing of Primex enclosures and components/accessories.
  • •Establish design specifications, material standards, and testing requirements based on industry/customer expectations.
  • •Lead stage-gate product development from concept to commercial release in partnership with Product Management and cross-functional teams.
  • •Collaborate with Operations on tooling, automation, and assembly processes to ensure manufacturability and seamless production introduction.
  • •Provide technical support for quality standards/certifications, regulatory approvals, and pre-sale/post-sale customer questions and product inquiries.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of relevant product development and hands-on work experience with physically manufactured products.
  • •Bachelor’s degree in civil or mechanical engineering, or a related field.
  • •Proficient in 3D modeling and document management software (preferably Inventor/Vault and SolidWorks/PDM).
  • •Experience with simulation/analysis tools (including finite element analysis) and strong analytical/problem-solving skills.
  • •Ability to understand regulatory codes/standards and achieve product compliance; accredited PE/PEng or EIT is preferred.
