Key Responsibilities

  • •Serve on the Executive Team to develop, implement, and evaluate strategic and annual operating plans; translate priorities into goals, work plans, performance measures, budgets, and accountabilities.
  • •Lead comprehensive strategies for membership recruitment, engagement, retention, and reengagement, and oversee the full volunteer lifecycle from recruitment through recognition and retention.
  • •Oversee operational and financial management for assigned functions, including developing and monitoring operational budgets, forecasts, revenue plans, expense controls, and performance results.
  • •Provide executive oversight for properties, safety, risk, and compliance, including maintenance priorities, safety readiness, and adherence to GSUSA and council requirements.
  • •Lead the effective use of technology and data governance supporting council operations; use dashboards and KPIs to monitor performance and support data-informed decisions.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience; advanced degree preferred.
  • •At least seven years of progressively responsible leadership experience in operations, mission delivery, membership, programs, volunteer services, or a related field, including significant supervision of managers or multi-functional teams.
  • •Experience in a youth-serving, membership, volunteer-driven, nonprofit, or similarly complex organization is strongly preferred.
  • •Demonstrated responsibility for budgeting, forecasting, financial performance, and operational results; experience overseeing a multi-million-dollar budget preferred.
  • •Strong strategic and operational leadership with the ability to convert vision into measurable plans and results, including strong people leadership and conflict-resolution skills.
