Translate medical jargon and abbreviations into expanded forms, decide what information to include or exclude, and support clinical workflow with related clerical tasks such as typing, filing, and insurance claim handling.

Key Responsibilities

•Transcribe dictation into medical reports and return them in printed or electronic form for physician review, signature, and corrections.
•Ensure reports are included in patients’ medical records and document patient care accurately.
•Translate medical jargon and abbreviations into expanded forms to maintain record accuracy.
•Determine which information should be included or excluded in reports.
•Perform clerical and office tasks such as handling mail, typing, filing, operating office machines, and supporting insurance claims when needed.

Key Requirements

•Transcribe dictation for a variety of medical reports, including radiology investigations, patient histories, examinations, emergency room visits, operations, consultations, and discharge summaries.
•Review and edit transcribed reports for spelling, grammar, clarity, consistency, and proper medical terminology.
•Identify mistakes in reports and check with doctors to obtain the correct information.
•Distinguish homonyms and recognize inconsistencies and errors in medical terms using dictionaries, drug references, and medical sources.
•Any Bachelor degree preferred.
