Lead the design and delivery of high-voltage primary substation systems (AIS/GIS) across transmission and distribution networks. Provide strategic technical oversight, guide multi-discipline engineering teams through concept to construction, ensure safety and reliability, engage with clients and contractors, and drive technical decisions to meet project objectives for grid reinforcement, renewable integration, and large-scale infrastructure programs.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide technical leadership and design oversight for HV primary substation systems (AIS/GIS), including equipment layouts, busbar schemes, and HV cable design.
•Oversee development and review of critical primary design deliverables (substation layouts, busbar configurations, insulation coordination, short-circuit calcs, earthing).
•Act as senior technical authority for primary substation engineering, coordinating between primary, secondary, civil, structural, and commissioning disciplines.
•Provide senior engineering support during construction, installation, testing, and commissioning phases; resolve complex site queries and field design changes.
•Lead and mentor teams of primary substation engineers, promoting professional development and high technical standards.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
•12–15+ years of experience in HV primary substation engineering
•Experience delivering large transmission or distribution substation projects across multiple phases (concept, FEED, detailed design, construction support)
•Proven experience leading engineering teams or technical disciplines
•Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
