Key Responsibilities

  • •Act as MLRO/Deputy MLRO for UAE operations and lead the AML/CTF/PF framework for payment services and digital-asset activities.
  • •Develop and maintain AML compliance culture, policies, and controls aligned with UAE AML/CTF/PF requirements.
  • •Develop and manage business-wide risk assessment, provide regulatory updates to the Board, and escalate material risks and compliance shortfalls.
  • •Monitor and communicate significant regulatory developments to relevant stakeholders and maintain technical knowledge of UAE VASP/SVF regulatory requirements.
  • •Maintain relationships with UAE regulators and oversee reporting processes, including suspicious activity monitoring and responses to FIU and law-enforcement requests.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum three years of relevant experience in a regulated financial institution, a regulatory authority, or a law firm handling AML and related compliance matters.
  • •Locally recognized qualification/s related to the role in the UAE.
  • •Strong understanding of AML regulations and UAE payments services legislation, particularly for crypto assets.
  • •Experience within the digital assets/cryptocurrency industry is strongly preferred.
  • •Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication with proven ability to work effectively across a decentralized, matrixed environment.
