Key Responsibilities

  • •Drive the evolution of payment experiences across mobile apps, SDKs, payment terminals, and distributed backend systems.
  • •Architect long-term technical strategy for complex, cross-device payment experiences and establish foundational architecture.
  • •Resolve challenging technical issues across reliability, performance, security, payment flows, and device compatibility at global scale.
  • •Partner with Product, Design, Legal, and stakeholders to translate ambiguous goals into executable plans and drive consensus using data/prototypes (POCs).
  • •Mentor engineers and raise engineering excellence in observability, testing, and operational excellence, including with external technology partners.

Salary: USD 235,000 - 317,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience in modern production environments with Staff-level scope.
  • •5+ years of direct, hands-on mobile development experience in either Android (Kotlin) or iOS (Swift), with shipped production code ownership.
  • •Strong ability to cross-train across mobile platform boundaries you don’t currently specialize in.
  • •Deep understanding of mobile architecture, SDK design, concurrency, performance, and large-scale distributed systems; experience building merchant-/consumer-facing SDKs.
  • •Ability to influence and lead without formal authority, building alignment with diverse stakeholders across time zones.
