Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform survey office work in a supporting management role, helping oversee projects from start to finish.
  • •Provide guidance to field staff, survey technicians, and CAD drafters and collaborate with survey teams across the New York Metro Region.
  • •Assist with production of survey plans and deliverables, including scheduling and setting up field crews and updating project tracking software.
  • •Conduct initial QA/QC reviews of work performed by survey technicians and CAD drafters, and prepare survey reports.
  • •Process and review survey data and assist with boundary placement determinations and adjustments to survey control with PLS guidance/approval; mentor and educate new staff.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Geomatics (land surveying-related) with 3–4 years of relevant experience, or an Associate’s degree with 4–6 years, or 6+ years of land surveying experience in lieu of a degree.
  • •Prior experience in both field and office performing a variety of survey work.
  • •Experience or training using drafting programs and survey data processing programs.
  • •Prior experience with boundary research, compilations, and determinations.
  • •Prior experience processing and adjusting survey control; willingness to learn and teach others with excellent communication and detail orientation.
