Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide direct safety program leadership for the site and formulate a proactive local safety strategy.
  • •Recommend, design, and implement new safety programs and measure program effectiveness to reduce losses from accidents.
  • •Lead compliance with OSHA regulations and the Tyson Foods Ergonomic Program, including inspections of machinery and working conditions.
  • •Maintain OSHA files and documentation; accompany OSHA inspectors; ensure ongoing compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements.
  • •Investigate safety-related incidents, review incident reports, complete required documentation, and drive corrective actions and training (including ergonomics, ERT, LOTO, hazard communication, and PPE).

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field (or equivalent education and experience).
  • •Three or more years of progressive experience in environmental, safety, and sustainability management (preferred).
  • •Strong knowledge of safety regulations, OSHA standards, hazard communication, accident investigation, and safety training methods.
  • •Knowledge of safety best practices for Process Safety Management (PSM) and Risk Management Program (RMP).
  • •Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and other stakeholders.
