Job Summary

Lead risk management for AECOM’s major UK infrastructure projects as part of the Integrated Programme Controls team. You’ll manage an established team of risk consultants, engage senior stakeholders and clients, and provide risk assurance for project delivery. Own risk inputs to bids and proposals, develop Risk Registers and mitigation plans, and perform quantitative risk analysis (QCRA/QSRA) using tools such as Monte-Carlo techniques and industry risk software.

Key Responsibilities

•Act as risk management lead for high value projects and programmes.
•Engage project teams to ensure effective implementation of risk management and governance.
•Provide direct risk input to bids and proposals to secure new business.
•Perform risk assurance checks and produce comprehensive risk reports for informed decision making.
•Manage a team of risk consultants, coach and mentor staff, and facilitate identification, assessment, and prioritisation of risks including development of Risk Registers and Risk Management Plans.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree from a recognised, accredited university or a risk management qualification (MOR, APM Risk, IRM).
•Proven experience and excellent working knowledge gained in a multi-discipline project environment.
•Proficiency with industry risk management tools such as ARM, Xactium, RiskHive, and Predict.
•Demonstrable experience conducting Quantitative Risk Analysis (QCRA/QSRA) using tools such as Safran, Primavera Risk Analyser, and @risk.
•Competency implementing risk management processes aligned with ISO31000, Institute of Risk Management, or Association of Project Management methodologies, with experience managing a team of risk professionals.
