Job Summary

Safely operate a concrete mixer truck to manufacture, deliver, and unload ready-mixed concrete to construction sites per dispatcher instructions. Manage deliveries to challenging, congested locations while following OSHA and USDOT/FMCSA safe-driving practices. Maintain truck cleanliness, perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, collect payment and complete delivery ticket documentation, and handle loading tasks including ladder climbing and adding admixtures when needed.

Key Responsibilities

•Operate the ready-mix concrete truck to deliver to construction sites as specified, following dispatch instructions and applicable laws.
•Comply with OSHA and USDOT/FMCSA safe-operating practices; use PPE as directed and work safely and efficiently.
•Maintain truck and worksite cleanliness, including rinsing the drum before and after deliveries and addressing shovel/sweeping needs.
•Maintain communication with the dispatcher or plant supervisor and check delivery tickets for special instructions; complete required documentation.
•Collect money from customers and record transactions on customer receipts, including reading/writing ticket details and responding to basic customer questions.

Key Requirements

•Must possess a valid minimum Class B CDL (or pass training and attain CDL licensure).
•High school diploma preferred or equivalent; or at least one year of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education/experience.
•Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; write routine reports and correspondence.
•Ability to safely comply with OSHA and USDOT/FMCSA safe-operating practices, use PPE as directed, and maintain a clean work area and vehicle.
•Ability to perform required physical tasks such as climbing (including an 8-foot ladder) and frequently lifting/moving up to 50 pounds.
