Key Responsibilities

  • •Work with New Product Development teams to ensure engineering drawing requirements integrity and that expectations are communicated effectively to supporting suppliers.
  • •Partner with New Product Introduction teams to involve suppliers in specification development/review to support design for manufacturability.
  • •Use project management skills and quality tools to investigate alternate manufacturing processes to reduce cost or improve quality and reliability, supporting supplier selection.
  • •Assist in supplier technical audits, evaluate performance/capability, and drive continuous improvement opportunities; support quality problem resolutions and incident management with root-cause and correction action.
  • •Evaluate technical requirements of products and recommend materials to Design Engineering; perform supplier production assessment to ensure serial production readiness for transferred and new modules.

Key Requirements

  • •Knowledge and experience in electrical/quality within the relevant discipline, with the ability to apply standard procedures to solve straightforward problems.
  • •Hands-on understanding of AC Boxes, electrical rotating machines, transformers, cable harnesses, and electrical OEM components.
  • •Working knowledge of IPC610, IPC620, IE56, IEC 60439-1 and IEC 61439-1, plus relevant UL certifications and electrical load testing.
  • •Ability to perform electrical winding testing, routine/type testing for AC and DC motors, and calibrate electrical/mechanical instruments per ISO/IEC 17025 and NABL.
  • •Ability to support supplier technical audits, evaluate supplier performance/capability, and drive continuous improvement and root-cause/corrective actions.
