Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide senior technical leadership across the backend systems behind Canva’s experimentation program.
  • •Evolve the experimentation platform used to set up experiments, target users, expose variants, and measure outcomes safely and intuitively.
  • •Own significant technical problems and shape where the platform should go next in partnership with internal platform teams.
  • •Work with senior leaders across Canva to improve experimentation practices, surface signals faster, and alert early when guardrails break.
  • •Explore automation of analysis processes enabled by AI to help teams learn faster and iterate.

  • •Build and operate backend systems/platforms other engineers depend on, including experience with scalability, availability, consistency, and failure modes.
  • •Build, operate, or work deeply with experimentation at scale (A/B testing, feature management, progressive rollouts) in large engineering environments.
  • •Provide technical leadership by taking ambiguous problems, forming a direction, and moving teams toward outcomes.
  • •Drive adoption of internal platforms by building capabilities that other teams trust and use.
