Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT Inspections and follow-up repairs on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair electrical/braking/cooling systems, engine electronics, diesel steering, transmissions, clutches, and related components.
  • •Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment using test instruments and road test vehicles to verify repairs.
  • •Identify problems, evaluate information, and make informed decisions; manage daily schedule and prioritize tasks.
  • •Manage parts inventory and operate a company-issued service vehicle with pre-/post-trip inspections and safety checks.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ related experience (or alternative combination with higher education)
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools
  • •Obtain ASE certification T8 (PMI) within 18 months
  • •Must pass DOT pre-employment background screening and DOT physical
  • •DOT medical card valid or valid for remaining months as specified
