Key Responsibilities

  • •Work with program strategy teams to form investment theses and source potential investments in South Asia through outreach and relationship-building.
  • •Participate on deal teams to perform initial evaluation, shape conversations, determine investment structuring, lead due diligence and financial modeling, and negotiate legal documentation.
  • •Present investments to the foundation’s Investment Committee.
  • •Participate in portfolio management, potentially including observing boards and facilitating interactions between portfolio companies and program teams.
  • •Ensure high-quality communications with internal and external stakeholders and help identify and mitigate key strategic, financial, and legal opportunities/issues.

Key Requirements

  • •Experience identifying and/or assessing investment opportunities and conducting commercial and financial due diligence.
  • •Experience supporting transaction execution and building trusted relationships with founders, management teams, and executives.
  • •Background as an Analyst, Associate, or Principal from a venture capital, growth equity, leveraged buy-out fund, investment bank, or strategy consulting firm.
  • •Strong commercial judgment and intellectual curiosity with a commitment to social impact.
