Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and implement the Environmental Management System (EMS) and related policies, targets, objectives, procedures, and standards to ensure sustainability and environmental legal compliance and ISO 14001 alignment.
  • •Monitor and coordinate with external PMC/consultants/contractors to meet environmental regulations and permits, including Construction Environmental Management plan (CEMP) and Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) requirements.
  • •Follow up to ensure Environmental NOC permits are obtained from EPA through project handover, and ensure proper environmental documentation and reporting.
  • •Conduct regular internal and external inspections/audits (second-party) and ensure parties report environmental performance to relevant bodies; follow waste management practices.
  • •Track new and changing environmental legal requirements, advise involved parties, manage environmental reports/dashboards from project data, and support investigations and authority follow-ups.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of experience in Environmental Engineering with a large developer or construction firm.
  • •Environmental function experience in a developer or construction (PMC, consultant, contractor) and government sector.
  • •Strong knowledge of Abu Dhabi/GCC real estate market and local/national environmental rules and regulations.
  • •Experience assessing and qualifying contractors on environmental requirements.
  • •Degree in environmental or engineering in construction, plus ISO 14001 lead auditor qualification.
