Job Summary

Join AECOM’s Soil, Groundwater and Remediation team as a Geo-Environmental Consultant. You’ll deliver Phase 1 environmental assessments, ground investigations, and routine monitoring; manage projects from desk study to remediation design; write technical reports; travel within the UK; and grow technically and commercially in a leading infrastructure consultancy with hybrid working options from offices in Birmingham, Cardiff and Manchester.

Key Responsibilities

•Deliver Phase 1 environmental assessments, ground investigations, and routine monitoring tasks
•Work independently to ensure technical quality, budget control, and programme adherence
•Support the preparation of fee proposals for internal and external clients
•Manage projects from desk study and feasibility through to delivery of site investigations and data interpretation
•Contribute to remediation design and delivery while collaborating with senior team members

Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

•Ideally, a minimum of an undergraduate degree in an environmental, science, or engineering-based subject
•Good understanding of contaminated land assessment regulations and guidance
•Working knowledge of CDM regulations and site management
•Development of conceptual site models and qualitative risk assessment
•Full driving licence and CSCS card; willing to travel within the UK and stay away from home for periods
