Key Responsibilities

  • •Counsel the global product team on issues related to AI adoption, including data protection, privacy, consumer protection, and product development.
  • •Collaborate with engineering, partnerships, privacy and security teams to provide pragmatic legal advice across the product development lifecycle, from scoping to launch.
  • •Draft, review, and update internal and external-facing terms and documents for Stripe’s products and services.
  • •Stay up-to-date on laws and regulations dealing with consumer financial data access and analyze regulatory updates to advise clients of potential product impacts.
  • •Serve as a proactive business partner to the product team, offering legal and strategic input in Stripe’s product roadmap and strategy.

Key Requirements

  • •6+ years of demonstrated experience as a qualified lawyer in a top law firm or in-house legal team working with technology companies on legal and regulatory aspects of product development in the technology space
  • •Proficiency in working with technology and ability to understand complex operational and business models across multiple product use cases
  • •Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple work streams and priorities
  • •Ownership mindset, good judgment and ability to make decisions with limited information
  • •Strong communication and relational skills, cross-functional collaboration and ability to work under tight deadlines
