Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist in detailed inspection and investigation of engineered structures across the UK, contributing to planning, organising, executing and reporting site works; include preparation of desk studies, briefs and CAD sketches
  • •Prepare method statements and risk assessments for site activities
  • •Execute structure inspections and investigations, planning site work and supervising subcontractors when needed
  • •Produce schedules for laboratory testing of materials and prepare/check CAD sketches for reports
  • •Develop structure management studies and prioritize structures for future works while ensuring health and safety compliance

Key Requirements

  • •MEng or MSc in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • •Graduate membership with the Institution of Civil Engineers, British Institute of Non Destructive Testing or Institution of Structural Engineers, signed off towards Incorporated or Chartered status
  • •Knowledge or experience of condition assessment testing and monitoring of structures would be advantageous
  • •Knowledge of bridge assets software and standards; proficiency in engineering drawings/reports; AutoCAD experience advantageous
  • •IT literacy – proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
