Key Responsibilities

•Drive end-to-end optimization of the effect pipeline during shooting, diagnosing and resolving frame drops, jank, thermal throttling, and power consumption issues on real user devices.
•Profile the full camera→effect→render→encode pipeline to identify CPU/GPU/memory/thread-scheduling bottlenecks and deliver measurable improvements.
•Partner with the rendering engine team and on-device algorithm team to leverage low-level capabilities and co-optimize model integration and execution.
•Build and evolve the business architecture of the Effect SDK (native, cross-platform for iOS and Android) by turning product requirements into maintainable modules.
•Localize and fix production technical problems and bugs with strong ownership, learning and communicating across teams.

Key Requirements

•B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science with 1+ years of relevant experience.
•Proficient in C/C++ for performance-focused development.
•Strong interest in mobile performance, including using profilers to improve latency and responsiveness.
•Familiar with iOS and/or Android development and experience with mobile video and image processing.
•Preferred: hands-on experience with mobile profiling tools such as Xcode Instruments, Perfetto/Systrace, Android GPU Inspector, or RenderDoc.
