Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide personal financial counseling and management services directly to service members and their families.
  • •Assist service members in establishing spending plans for extended absences.
  • •Develop and provide informational financial materials to service members and families.
  • •Coordinate and deliver Personal Financial Management classes/workshops across the military lifecycle, including pre- and post-deployment and personal and career events.
  • •Utilize authorized virtual counseling/electronic communication methods and manage duty-to-warn situations per DoD protocol while coordinating with installation and military branch POCs.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 58,440 - 93,500 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree required (associate degree plus 4 years’ experience or high school diploma plus 6 years’ experience may be considered in lieu).
  • •3+ years of financial counseling experience.
  • •Must be a U.S. citizen and speak fluent English; if required by the contract, must be bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • •Be able to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation and pass the OCI process.
  • •Hold one of the following certifications: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
