Key Responsibilities

  • •Own Comms end-to-end: define the why/what/how and the long-term client and internal communication experience.
  • •Set and prioritize the roadmap to stand up push notifications, attachments, statements, and in-platform chat as scalable services, alongside evolving Email.
  • •Embed with Engineering to shape the technical approach, stay close to architecture and trade-offs, and unblock delivery.
  • •Define and track Comms success metrics (deliverability, engagement, latency, reliability) and use data to drive prioritization.
  • •Ensure each channel (Push, Attachments, Statements, Chat) becomes a service the rest of the platform can build on, and be the product go-to for Comms.

Key Requirements

  • •2-3+ years in product for a fintech or SaaS business, ideally re-platforming or scaling an existing capability (or a strong engineering/technical background moving into product).
  • •Proven builder’s instinct to re-architect something that already works into a standalone, scalable service without breaking client dependencies.
  • •Technical fluency to participate in architecture discussions, follow system diagrams/code reviews, and collaborate with engineers as a peer.
  • •Systems thinking across communications channels (email, push, documents, live chat) and comfort with comms/messaging infrastructure and tools such as Zendesk or Intercom.
  • •Metric-driven approach: define baselines/targets, use data to prioritize, and comfortably use modern tools including AI to sharpen decisions.
