Key Responsibilities

  • •Ensure Wood and Client Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality procedures are followed and achieve a high standard of safety across associated work.
  • •Serve as Lead Engineer and/or piping technical authority on projects, managing piping scope within agreed budget and timeframe and delivering key milestones.
  • •Produce, review, and take accountability for the accuracy of piping deliverables (e.g., piping design basis, line list, interface schedule, support schedule, thickness calculations, stress analysis reports).
  • •Provide piping input to tenders and project estimates, including method statements, deliverable lists, manhours, CTRs, and risk take.
  • •Represent Wood as the piping discipline technical representative in design reviews (HAZID, HAZOP, plot plan, 3D model reviews) and coordinate with clients, third parties, and other disciplines to resolve technical interface issues.

Key Requirements

  • •Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar) with a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience.
  • •Proven piping competencies including piping design/routing, plant layout, stress analysis, and piping materials for the oil & gas sector.
  • •Experience designing and selecting pipe supports and equipment connections for onshore and offshore facilities.
  • •Familiarity with piping 2D/3D design tools such as Hexagon SP3D, Aveva E3D, Bentley AutoPlant, AutoCAD, and Microstation.
  • •Familiarity with international design codes and standards such as BS, API, and ASME B31.3 and B31.8.
