Job Summary

Drive marketplace conversion and monetization insights by owning key company metrics and dashboards. Lead business performance analysis, deep-dive investigations, and reporting to surface risks and opportunities for the leadership team and Board. Partner cross-functionally across Product, Engineering, Marketing, Operations, and Finance to improve revenue forecasting models and planning processes, while strengthening the team’s data culture through coaching and peer collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

•Define, monitor, and report key metrics that measure Thumbtack’s success.
•Lead business performance analysis and reporting to inform leadership of emerging risks and opportunities.
•Conduct deep-dive analysis to answer key questions critical to future strategy.
•Support and improve the company revenue forecasting model and forecasting/planning process.
•Partner across Product, Engineering, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and leadership to drive actionable insights and business impact.

Key Requirements

•BA/BS degree, preferably in Economics, Business, Math, Statistics, or Computer Science.
•6+ years of experience in a highly analytical role, preferably in tech.
•Proficiency using SQL and Python/R to analyze large datasets.
•Strong analytical problem solving with a solid statistics foundation, business judgment, and ability to navigate ambiguity to synthesize insights.
•Ability to work with executives to understand business needs and drive decisions; strong communication skills.
