Key Responsibilities

  • •Define, monitor, and report key metrics that measure Thumbtack’s success.
  • •Lead business performance analysis and reporting to inform leadership of emerging risks and opportunities.
  • •Conduct deep-dive analysis to answer key questions critical to future strategy.
  • •Support and improve the company revenue forecasting model and forecasting/planning process.
  • •Partner across Product, Engineering, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and leadership to drive actionable insights and business impact.

Key Requirements

  • •BA/BS degree, preferably in Economics, Business, Math, Statistics, or Computer Science.
  • •6+ years of experience in a highly analytical role, preferably in tech.
  • •Proficiency using SQL and Python/R to analyze large datasets.
  • •Strong analytical problem solving with a solid statistics foundation, business judgment, and ability to navigate ambiguity to synthesize insights.
  • •Ability to work with executives to understand business needs and drive decisions; strong communication skills.
