Job Summary

Install and repair telematics systems and devices on vehicles and construction/heavy equipment, handling everything from power/ignition/ground to complex wiring that integrates with vehicle CAN networks. Operate machinery when needed for testing, troubleshoot issues, and travel to client sites and EquipmentShare rental yards across the region. Represent the EquipmentShare solutions platform and brand while working in the field, including occasional weekend/on-call scheduling.

Job Function: Field Service, Maintenance & Skilled Trades

Key Responsibilities

•Install telematics systems and devices on vehicles, construction equipment, heavy equipment, and customer assets.
•Operate machinery at times during installation for testing purposes.
•Remove and replace ignition systems and integrate keypad and telematics communications.
•Handle a range of installation scenarios, including complex custom wiring harnesses for CAN access.
•Identify and resolve problems, travel to client sites/rental yards, and occasionally work outside business hours/on weekends.

Travel: Medium travel

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or equivalent (Trade School Certificate preferred).
•Mechanical aptitude and experience with tools; hard-working and mechanically inclined.
•Experience in a related field (e.g., electrician, HVAC tech, or car audio installer) and/or ability to install mobile electronics or automotive electronics.
•Own tools; be proficient with iPhone/mobile phone technology and basic computer navigation.
•Clean driving record, open to travel within a 250 mile radius for up to a week at a time, and able to pass a background check and 10-panel drug screen.
