Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop design criteria, horizontal and vertical alignments, superelevation, barrier/guiderail design, and spot elevation details
  • •Develop rigid and flexible pavement designs
  • •Prepare signing and pavement marking plans and details
  • •Prepare construction phasing plans and develop maintenance of traffic based on interdisciplinary coordination and constructability reviews
  • •Identify utility conflicts and coordinate resolutions based on interdisciplinary constructability reviews, client feedback, and utility needs

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering plus six (6) years of related experience with highway transportation projects or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • •Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
  • •Design experience working on projects for PennDOT, PA Turnpike, SEPTA, and/or City of Philadelphia
  • •Valid US Driver’s License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices
  • •Demonstrated knowledge of MicroStation and/or AutoCAD
