Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide non-medical, short-term, solution-focused walk-around counseling, including assessment, brief counseling/consultation, action planning, referrals, and follow-up.
  • •Deliver training and health and wellness presentations and other requested base/installation activities.
  • •Enter counselor activity data daily via smartphone or web application while maintaining client/service member confidentiality.
  • •Develop and maintain working relationships with installation POCs and SOCOM leadership, including partner relationships with community resources to address installation needs.
  • •Respond to critical incidents, surge, and special requests as directed; manage duty to warn and restricted reporting situations per DoD protocol.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 59,922 - 100,280 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Master’s degree from an accredited graduate program in a mental health related field.
  • •Valid unrestricted independent counseling license that authorizes independent practitioner counseling services.
  • •Less than 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience.
  • •Intermediate-level technology competencies (e.g., Microsoft Suite, smartphone/tablet and application navigation, internet navigation, video-conferencing platform navigation).
  • •Ability to prove US citizenship and speak fluent English; pass NACI clearance, FBI fingerprints/criminal history background check, and obtain/maintain Secret level clearance.
