Key Responsibilities

  • •Under immediate supervision, perform apprentice line construction and maintenance tasks in preparation for Journeyman Lineman duties over a three-year program.
  • •Progress from work on unenergized circuits to energized conductors, completing phases independently when skills are demonstrated.
  • •Initially assemble line materials and hardware, climb poles, assist on services and secondaries, and perform ground work.
  • •Later work alone on energized conductors up to 480 volts and perform less complicated work on higher voltages under supervision.
