Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, implement, and maintain Cypress automation for React apps (TypeScript) across E2E, integration, and component tests.
  • •Author Gherkin feature files and step definitions aligned to product acceptance criteria and living documentation.
  • •Build and evolve the automation framework, including commands, fixtures/test data, environment configuration, stable selectors, and utilities.
  • •Integrate automation into CI/CD with parallelization, retries, dashboards, flaky test detection, and reporting.
  • •Collaborate with developers, QA, and product to review PRs, triage failures, perform root-cause analysis, and conduct API testing for frontend-consumed REST endpoints.

Key Requirements

  • •3–5+ years in QA automation with React/JavaScript/TypeScript and 2+ years hands-on with Cypress (v10+) for component and E2E testing.
  • •Strong experience testing React apps (SPAs or Next.js) and familiarity with hooks, state management, and routing.
  • •Proven BDD/Gherkin experience using Cypress cucumber preprocessor; write feature files and maintainable step definitions.
  • •API testing for REST/GraphQL using cy.request and authentication flows (OAuth/OIDC/JWT), including request/response validation and Postman/Newman.
  • •CI/CD pipeline integration for Cypress (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI) with parallelization, artifacts, and reporting.
