Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist the Rolling Stock Team Leader with preventive and corrective maintenance activities, minor modifications, and inspections for rolling stock and maintenance vehicles.
  • •Perform routine inspections, technical cleaning, minor repairs, and wheel truing as required (including annual wheel truing).
  • •Test electromechanical assemblies, replace/install electrical and electronic parts, and align/fit/assemble components using tools and instruments.
  • •Conduct time-sensitive fault diagnostics and component replacement (repair in situ or inside depot) and follow Permit To Work and safe systems of work.
  • •Maintain accurate rolling stock and tooling/plant machinery records in a computerized maintenance management system and perform shift/emergency duties when required.

Key Requirements

  • •Assist the Rolling Stock Team Leader with preventive and corrective maintenance and minor modifications on rolling stock and maintenance vehicles.
  • •Carry out routine vehicle inspections and minor repairs, including inspecting parts for surface defects and replacing consumable items.
  • •Perform fault diagnostics and component replacement/repair in situ or inside the depot following maintenance procedures.
  • •Operate and calibrate electrical, electronic, and mechanical test equipment and tools to align, fit, and assemble components to specifications.
  • •Hold a vocational trade certificate or diploma in electrical or mechanical engineering (or equivalent).
