Key Responsibilities

  • •Drive and lead a multidisciplinary TS team for green hydrogen derivatives in China, ensuring safe, fit-for-purpose and optimized designs while mitigating techno-commercial risks.
  • •Lead engineering for green methanol (biomass gasification, bio methanol, e-methanol) and green ammonia plants, including electrolyzer plants, from feasibility through detailed engineering.
  • •Manage licensor and OEM assessment/selection, develop technical feasibility studies, and own the technical assumption book and owner technical specifications for project financial analysis.
  • •Supervise engineering work by consultants and contractors; review engineering vendor deliverables for quality and completeness; develop performance guarantee/testing schedule for takeover readiness.
  • •Support contract review and project closing (including lenders’ technical due diligence), and provide technical support during construction, operations, and handover to execution/construction teams.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in engineering (chemical engineering specialization preferred).
  • •Minimum 15 years of experience in chemical industry process engineering, with preference in methanol and/or ammonia plants.
  • •Experience developing Basic Engineering, Pre-FEED and FEED package work.
  • •Experience with process optimization and safety studies including Hazop and Hazid.
  • •Knowledge of Chinese technical standards/regulatory framework for green hydrogen derivatives (methanol, ammonia) and Chinese fluency.
