Job Summary

Own PCB triage and board-level fault isolation for AMD GPU accelerators, supporting customer and factory failure investigations. Review schematics, layouts, and power architecture to form debug hypotheses, then run diagnostics and functional-test DOE to reproduce and isolate hard failures. Develop automation and tools for test execution and analysis, document findings into the FA database, and collaborate across design, validation, firmware, and manufacturing to drive root-cause findings and corrective actions.

Key Responsibilities

•Support internal and external requests to troubleshoot AMD GPU product failures, focusing on PCB triage, power delivery debug, and board-level failure isolation.
•Develop and execute diagnostics and functional-test DOE to reproduce, characterize, and isolate difficult board- and power-related failures.
•Develop automation and tools to run tests and analyze results/logs.
•Perform structured PCB triage to narrow failures across board, component, power rail, layout interaction, or system integration levels, working with contract manufacturers and internal teams to isolate root cause.
•Document findings in the FA database and create failure analysis reports, presenting findings to key stakeholders including senior management.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
•Deep expertise in electrical engineering fundamentals, PCBA design, power delivery architecture, and hardware debug, including diagnostics and functional test development.
•Skilled in using lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power analyzers, and custom test tools) for board bring-up, rail validation, and hardware debug.
•Strong background in PCB triage, board-level failure analysis, PCBA diagnostics, power delivery debug, and failure isolation from NPI through production.
•Proficient in Python and shell scripting, with experience working across Windows and Linux environments.
