Job Summary

Provide pre-sales technical support to Dell’s field sales teams in Tokyo, ensuring customer solutions are technically valid and interoperable. You’ll support sales with product demonstrations and presentations, prepare detailed product specifications, and coordinate internal specialists for scoping and system integration. Partner closely with sellers to uncover customer needs, translate business drivers into data/analytics use cases, and verify operability within customer environments.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide pre-sales technical support to field sales teams during the sales process.
•Deliver technical presentations and demos to showcase product capabilities to technical users/buyers.
•Prepare detailed product specifications to enable the sale of high-end products and solutions.
•Conduct project scoping and coordinate internal specialists and inter-department activities.
•Verify operability of sophisticated product and service configurations in the customer’s environment, and perform advanced systems integration to design and implement solutions.

Key Requirements

•5+ years in a customer-facing technical role (e.g., Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, Data Engineer, Analytics Consultant, or Data Scientist) with strong commercial exposure.
•Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud data platform (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Redshift, Cloudera, Synapse).
•Strong understanding of data warehousing/lakehouse concepts and ETL/ELT (staging, modeling, performance tuning, cost/performance tradeoffs).
•Strong SQL skills for analytical queries, performance tuning, and data modeling (e.g., star/snowflake schemas, dimensional modeling).
•Working knowledge of AI/RAG and unstructured data processing, including vector databases (e.g., Elasticsearch, Milvus, pgvector) and RAG architectures.
