Job Summary

Drive a truck equipped with an auxiliary concrete mixer to deliver ready-mixed concrete to job sites. Operate loading, unloading, and chute-release processes, maintain clean and protected equipment, and inspect supplies and truck components for safety. Follow DOT rules and regulations, keep paperwork in order, and communicate professionally while occasionally assisting customers with placing and spreading concrete. Home daily with steady local work, overtime available, and no weekend work.

Key Responsibilities

•Drive the truck under a loading hopper to receive sand, gravel, concrete, and water, and start the mixer.
•Transport and unload concrete at job sites by releasing ready mixed concrete down the truck chute into containers or into the pouring area.
•Clean the truck after delivery to prevent concrete hardening in the mixer and on the truck.
•Inspect truck equipment and supplies (tires, lights, brakes, fluid levels) and drive in a safe, courteous manner.
•Assemble the ready mix concrete chute as required and periodically assist customers with placing and spreading concrete.

Key Requirements

•Must possess a valid “Class B” CDL license and be able to pass a DOT physical and substance test.
•High school diploma or equivalent.
•Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
•Must be able to drive safely and courteously, follow DOT rules and regulations, and keep paperwork in order.
•Ability to perform physical demands including regularly lifting/moving up to 50 pounds and working in an outdoor, loud environment.
