Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide specialist gas safety leadership to ensure safe management, operation, and compliance of gas networks across a designated VIVO estate.
  • •Act as the appointed point of contact for gas-related technical matters, supporting maintenance teams, stakeholders, and end users with professional advice.
  • •Oversee practical implementation of gas safety procedures through effective safe systems of work, permits, and safety documentation.
  • •Maintain and review Gas Safety Management Plans, support maintenance and project activities, and contribute to risk management with prompt identification and resolution of issues/corrective actions.
  • •Assess competence of Gas Skilled Persons, support training and development, and produce/review risk assessments, method statements, safety programmes, and gas permits to work; provide technical input to gas-related projects and meetings.

Key Requirements

  • •Experienced gas professional with strong gas safety management knowledge across commercial and domestic environments.
  • •Experience with LPG installations, gas compliance processes, and safe systems of work, including providing technical guidance to stakeholders.
  • •Practical experience managing gas-related activities in an operational environment, including assessing competence, reviewing standards of work, and maintaining compliance.
  • •Experience producing and reviewing risk assessments, method statements, safety programmes, and gas permits to work.
  • •Relevant gas qualifications, ability to travel as required, and the ability to achieve and maintain SC clearance for the role.
