Key Responsibilities

•Lead and undertake 1D-2D hydraulic modelling commissions to assess fluvial, surface water and tidal flooding.
•Undertake other forms of technical work including Flood Risk Assessments, hydrological assessments, flood defence design, strategic flood risk assessments, design of sustainable urban drainage systems and environmental statements.
•Undertake quality assurance of technical work within your area of expertise.
•Nurture and develop graduate team members and junior colleagues.
•Take a proactive approach to managing client relationships, clarifying expectations, success criteria and outcome measures to meet their requirements and deliver successful projects.

Key Requirements

•Undergraduate degree (2:1 or above) in Engineering, Geography, Environmental Science or a related discipline.
•Extensive practical experience in 1D and 2D hydraulic modelling techniques within water consulting, including Flood Modeller Pro, TUFLOW and InfoWorks ICM.
•Extensive experience in GIS software including QGIS, ArcGIS and MapInfo.
•Extensive experience in production of hydraulic modelling reporting deliverables and leading delivery of flood risk and water management projects with private/public sector clients and regulators.
•Experience in undertaking Quality Assurance reviews of hydraulic models and associated reporting.
