Job Summary

Perform instrument and control installation, repair, and maintenance to keep machinery and equipment running efficiently with minimal downtime. Attend breakdowns and planned/preventive/predictive maintenance, troubleshoot failures, and complete work according to safety procedures and maintenance plans. Calibrate equipment to schedule, use SAP to order spare parts and maintain maintenance records, and recommend modifications for repeated breakdowns while guiding newly joined instrument mechanics.

Key Responsibilities

•Attend instrument and control equipment breakdowns and planned/preventive/predictive maintenance with minimal supervision to minimize production downtime.
•Assess job requirements and select the necessary tools and equipment to complete maintenance work.
•Diagnose instrument and control failures and troubleshoot plant and equipment failures with minimal direction.
•Complete maintenance work per safety procedures, maintenance plans, and plant operational requirements.
•Perform equipment calibrations to schedule, use SAP to order spare parts and maintain maintenance records, and recommend modifications for repeated breakdowns while guiding newly joined mechanics.

Key Requirements

•Complete a higher secondary education or hold a diploma.
•Familiar with maintenance tools and have good knowledge of plant safety.
•Experience working in a power or desalination plant with exposure to maintenance and calibration of field instrumentation (pressure/temperature/level/flow, pneumatic/hydraulic valve actuation).
•Experience with CO2 fire protection and infrared gas detection systems.
•Ability to read engineering drawings and manuals and knowledge/experience with electrical, electronics, computer, hydraulic, and pneumatic devices.
