Key Responsibilities

  • •Ensure OSHA records are accurate and current.
  • •Establish and conduct required training programs and maintain training records.
  • •Conduct accident investigations and complete reports.
  • •Develop and execute safety awareness programs and attend/conduct safety committee meetings.
  • •Ensure animal welfare and FDA program compliance, including training/reporting, and ensure HACCP program compliance; participate in corporate inspections and coordinate claim service.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) from a four-year college/university or 5–8 years of experience and/or training.
  • •Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and governmental regulations, and write reports and procedure manuals.
  • •Ability to present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, auditors/inspectors, and the general public.
  • •Ability to determine root cause of problems to support effective resolution.
  • •Valid driver’s license; HACCP Certificate, SQF Practitioner Certificate, and 30-hour OSHA training preferred and may be required within one year.
