Key Responsibilities

  • •Expand the pipeline of broad-spectrum preventatives candidates by sourcing new ideas and technologies through networks of researchers, investors, founders, and funders.
  • •Conduct early and deep technical diligence to evaluate science quality, development plans, team fit, and alignment with the target product profile (TPP).
  • •Develop points of view on leading technologies, including gating datapoints that determine whether to advance, kill, or double down.
  • •Build and maintain a CRM to capture known projects and create a process to learn about and capture new projects early.
  • •Support the RFP and investment process, drive grant/investment execution, and manage post-award monitoring and portfolio acceleration.

Key Requirements

  • •PhD or MD in immunology and/or infectious disease with 5+ years of post-grad research experience (biotech, pharma, VC, or consulting).
  • •Demonstrated ability to evaluate a broad range of scientific topics and experience with scientific curation (e.g., research portfolio oversight, grants, or investments).
  • •Experience with portfolio management, including portfolio construction and post-award management.
  • •Ability to translate scientific diligence into strategic investment recommendations and a coherent capital deployment view.
  • •Experience with product development and/or exposure via investing in or supporting companies.
