Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and build custom electrical test racks, test fixtures, and GSE from engineering drawings, BOMs, and limited instructions.
  • •Fabricate, terminate, and integrate mil-spec cable harnesses to IPC-620 Class 3, including backshell integration, band-it clamping, and EMI shielding termination.
  • •Set up, execute, and document electrical test procedures (continuity, hi-pot, insulation resistance, functional validation) and communicate findings to engineering.
  • •Operate and configure bench test equipment (oscilloscopes, power supplies, electronic loads, function/signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and DAQ systems).
  • •Troubleshoot electrical assemblies to the component level using root cause analysis and perform PCBA rework/repair to IPC-610 standards, including SMT and through-hole components.

Key Requirements

  • •3+ years of hands-on experience building custom electrical test racks, fixtures, or cable harnesses in an R&D/prototype or aerospace/defense environment.
  • •Fabrication experience with mil-spec circular connectors (e.g., D38999, Mighty Mouse, Glenair, Amphenol) including crimping, tooling, backshell integration, and band-it clamping for EMI shielding.
  • •Current or previously held IPC-620 certification (CIS or CIT) with ability to recertify upon hire.
  • •Current or previously held J-STD-001 soldering certification with ability to recertify upon hire.
  • •U.S. Person status required and ability to lift 25 lbs unassisted.
