Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform technical inspections on heavy equipment, tactical vehicles, and MHE during the turn-in process.
  • •Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system faults.
  • •Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance in accordance with Army TMs, DA PAM 750-8, and AR 750-1.
  • •Repair and adjust engines, transmissions, drivetrains, brakes, steering, suspension, and hydraulic systems.
  • •Record inspections, maintenance, and repairs using Army-approved forms and systems (DA Form 2404/5988-E, GCSS-Army).

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be substituted.
  • •3–5 years of experience as a mechanic on military or heavy equipment.
  • •Prior U.S. Army or contractor experience with tactical vehicles, combat systems, or MHE strongly preferred.
  • •Ability to read and interpret Army TMs, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • •Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC) and obtain Tier1/NACI (Public trust) background eligibility.
