Materials Engineer, Ceramics

Develop and qualify ceramic materials used in reactor fuel systems, owning experiments, processes, and quality control. Design physical, thermal, and mechanical tests that replicate the reactor environment, apply statistical methods to evaluate process and environmental effects, and perform materials characterization including root-cause failure analysis. Partner across manufacturing, neutronics, mechanical, testing, and quality engineering to define operating limits and optimize fuel and ceramic material performance.
