Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct due diligence on hedge fund managers, assessing philosophy, process, organization, team, alignment of interests, and any changes over time.
  • •Evaluate portfolio construction, liquidity, leverage, capacity, concentration, and risk-management frameworks, including performance and risk metrics.
  • •Run manager meetings, on-site visits, reference calls, and due diligence interviews to inform research findings.
  • •Produce initial due diligence reports, periodic review reports, monitoring notes, Investment Committee papers, and client-facing commentary.
  • •Develop China and Greater China market knowledge by sourcing and evaluating prospective managers and partnering with onshore Private Banking to support growth.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in a relevant numerate discipline (finance, economics, mathematics, statistics, engineering, computer science, etc.).
  • •Professional fluency in English and Mandarin, including conducting manager meetings and reviewing investment materials in both languages.
  • •Relevant experience in hedge fund research or manager selection.
  • •Strong knowledge of hedge fund strategies, investment processes, portfolio construction, and risk management.
  • •Ability to produce evidence-based due diligence reports and investment recommendations for Investment Committees and senior stakeholders.
