Key Responsibilities

  • •Own a manufacturing product’s readiness by gathering manufacturing, test, and yield concerns during development and ensuring fixes before each build.
  • •Keep the product healthy in mass production by delivering engineering changes with minimal disruption and qualifying new components and second-source manufacturers.
  • •Root-cause yield and field failures tied to manufacturing gaps and drive corrective action with ODM/CM partners.
  • •Lead engineering changes across manufacturers, including BOM/PLM updates, cut-in planning, partner training, validation, and monitoring field failures/RMA.
  • •Bring manufacturing requirements and validation data into development phase reviews so the engineering team has a prioritized list of fixes before the next build.

Key Requirements

  • •Carry a hardware product from early builds through mass production at a contract manufacturer or ODM.
  • •Set up or improve assembly and test processes at a manufacturing partner and drive yield, quality, and schedule commitments.
  • •Use structured manufacturing and root-cause methods (DFM, FMEA, SPC, 8D or similar) and translate failure data into clear decisions.
  • •Write a product-specific test plan and judge whether test coverage is sufficient.
  • •Have a degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Materials Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
