Key Responsibilities

  • •Act as Wise’s first point of contact for government relations across Latin America and communicate policy developments to Wise LatAm teams.
  • •Execute government relations strategy and design proactive campaigns to influence policy actions improving customer onboarding and payments.
  • •Build and maintain relationships with policymakers, legislators, regulators, and key stakeholders across Mexico and Brazil.
  • •Represent Wise in industry groups and civil society organizations; translate complex policy developments for cross-team colleagues and leadership.
  • •Support ESG compliance processes and advocate for G20 Scorecard Reports and progress on direct access and price transparency.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of relevant experience in government, politics, public policy, or government relations, with a track record in Mexico and Brazil.
  • •Demonstrated ability to navigate political and policy environments in Mexico and Brazil within the financial services industry.
  • •Proven record of interactions with public authorities, members of Congress, and regulators in Mexico and Brazil.
  • •Strong understanding of issues for non-bank payment service providers and the related regulatory landscape.
  • •Proficiency in Spanish and Portuguese (spoken and written) with demonstrated working knowledge of English, plus experience drafting policy positions and preparing briefings.
