Key Responsibilities

  • •Own command-and-control end to end from vehicle command definition through middleware/network to the OCU representation.
  • •Define and evolve system-to-system message contracts, including vehicle state, tasks, and commands, across producers and consumers.
  • •Bridge autonomy and middleware by extending the integration layer to publish telemetry/autonomy state and translate operator commands into vehicle behavior.
  • •Field, debug, and support the C2 workflow on customer-bound hardware, driving issues to root cause across autonomy, middleware, and network under constrained links.
  • •Partner on the operator-facing interface and migrate legacy OCU workflows to the new interface as the fleet transitions, translating program needs into delivered C2 capabilities.

Key Requirements

  • •B.S. in computer science/engineering/robotics (or related) or relevant experience demonstrating skill.
  • •Experience with publish/subscribe or message-oriented middleware.
  • •Comfort quickly learning message schema/interface-definition formats and code generation.
  • •Strong core software engineering skills including software design, unit testing, and debugging.
  • •Proficiency with the Linux command line and comfort working in Linux development and deployment environments.
