Job Summary

Manage the financial integrity of content commitments by preparing and reviewing monthly accounting entries, reconciliations, and CFO-ready metrics. Analyze and interpret licensing and talent agreements to ensure correct accounting for capitalization, liabilities, and amortization, using proprietary systems and guidance research. Drive process improvements and accounting policy projects while partnering cross-functionally across Finance and Content Acquisition to support Netflix’s ongoing content expansion.

•Prepare and review monthly accounting entries, reconciliations, CFO metrics, and other ad hoc analyses.
•Manage accounting for content license contracts (capitalization, liabilities, and amortization) using proprietary systems.
•Analyze content agreements and transactions to interpret contractual terms and apply accounting policies.
•Research accounting guidance to ensure appropriate accounting for produced show costs and related agreements.
•Identify and drive process improvements, own accounting policy review projects, and manage cross-functional relationships.

Key Requirements

•8+ years of accounting or finance experience with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and/or finance.
•Preferred: be on track for completion (or have completed) a CPA license or a post-graduate degree.
•Strong attention to detail and ability to reconcile accounts and solve problems using spreadsheets and system data.
•Enthusiasm for designing/building accounting systems and improving existing systems.
•Strong communication skills and comfort navigating technical accounting guidance as a cross-functional partner.
